Nebraska Impact VBC is offering six weeks of training for all girls who are 14, 15, 16, 17 and 18 years old, who are in high school, but aren't playing volleyball on their high school teams. These sessions will be on Monday nights at Nebraska Impact's new 4-court volleyball facility.

Women’s Indoor Volleyball
It is time to start thinking ahead to the FALL “2010” Women’s Volleyball Session! The Women’s “A” and “BB” and “B” league will be held on Thursday nights starting September 16th. The leagues will play at Westroads Club and Westside Community Center, and Ralston Middle School.
The application deadline for RETURNING TEAMS needs to be postmarked by September 3rd, 2010. After this deadline, any team is eligible to sign up. All other entries entries MUST be POSTMARKED on or before September 10th, 2010 at the very latest. There will be NO EXCEPTIONS after that date.
Application is later in this issue. Your completed roster (with at least 5 players) and payment of $306.00 for the “A”, “BB” or “B” must be sent to the following address* or you may now sign up on line (details in box below):

Each league will consist of 8-10 teams, depending on how many applications are received with 8 being the minimum in each league and 10 being the maximum. Please mark all leagues you are willing to play and in the order you would like to be considered. We cannot guarantee where your team will be placed, however we will make every attempt to place teams in the league they request.
The management reserves the right to move teams based on prior performance to a league that may balance out the competition level or fill the league if there is a shortage of teams.

Below is a brief description of the competition levels in the leagues, which may help decide where your team would like to play. This will help many new members better determine where they should be playing.
WE NEED REFS FOR ALL THE LEAGUES- contact Janelle Eckhoff.
- A - This league is a very competitive, fun league where many players have had several years of volleyball experience, including the high school level and beyond. Play generally involves a pass, set, and hit (spike).
- BB- This league is a fun league with a good level of competition. Players will have had several years of volleyball experience and play generally involves 3 contacts of the ball before going over the net.
- B - This league is also a lot of fun. Players have a wide range of volleyball experience. Play usually involves three contacts of the ball before going over the net.

MEN’S Indoor Volleyball
We are bringing back the OSC Men’s Indoor Volleyball league and we need you! In order to make the
team’s fair and competitive; we are holding tryouts on Thursday September 16th starting at 6:30pm at the
Volleyball Center (Located inside the Westroads Club), 1212 North 102nd Street, Omaha, NE

- Cost is $50 per player.

2010 Fall Coed VB Tryouts
- Minimum 6 games per night guaranteed.
- End of Season Pizza party for all 6 leagues with optional weekly socials for each league close to their location.
- 1st and 2nd place teams in each league will receive prizes.
- Tryouts will be held at Westside Community Center, 3534 South 108th. Tryouts will consist of passing, setting, hitting drills and scrimmaging. The captains will watch players and then go to a separate location to draft their teams.
- Players are picked according to the skills they display at tryouts and during previous league play.
- It is to everyone’s benefit that all players attend the tryouts and circle all levels that you are willing to play.

Come find out why several from Omaha and Lincoln are already making the drive to play in the Wahoo Parks and Rec Leagues. Although we are a "small town" league we have teams/players from both Omaha and Lincoln making the drive... come see why!
Womens 3-on-3 Volleyball (Indoor) - Very popular competitive league, several former college players. League plays on Monday nights using a modified (smaller) shortened volleyball court.
Coed Volleyball (Indoor) - Traditional Coed League with loads of talent. League plays on Thursday nights.
Have a specific request that you need to be able to play in the league (game times, bye weeks, double headers, etc. Let us know we usually have no problem honoring those.

We are offering modified open gym sessions for ages 11U through 14U!
This open gym is available to any 11U-14U in the area. There will be 1/2 hour to work on personal skills and then 1 hour of team/game play with coach assistance.
The focus of these sessions will be to offer "game like" play for those athletes that are not able to participate in a fall league or simply just want more playing time on the court!! The goal will be to bring those skills that you work on at Special Sessions Clinics and bring them to life in a game like situation.
THERE WILL BE 6 WEEKS OF SESSIONS

Joint Effort VB Tournament was total success with 47 teams. Great fun also!!
Redeye Softball Tournament was a total success. 2008 there were 5 coed and 12 men's team. 2009 they had 11 coed and 24 men's teams!
WOW! What a great help you have been to our volleyball program. The pole pads and ref stand were a blessing and we could not have found it with out your help. Our girls and families were so excited to use them for the first time this past weekend. Thanks again for your help.
